At Sugar Creek, we teach the behaviors that we want learners to exhibit, we create goals around these behaviors, and we celebrate our success with school-wide acknowledgements. Every month, Sugar Creek sets new goals for behavior, such as earning a certain number of Blue Tickets at recess, reading a certain number of minutes as a class, or filling the Wonder Bucket with Blue Tickets at a Community Gathering. When we meet our goals, we celebrate!
Some of our school-wide acknowledgements this year have included: Beach Day, 20 minutes of Free Time, and using the Climbing Wall with their class. This Spring, we started to celebrate positive behaviors on the bus with "Extra Recess" on Monday mornings. We also had an All School Dance Party on one of the last days of school!
Ms. Clark and Ms. Marquardt danced on the roof during our All School Dance Party!
Students got to play soccer before the school day for their Golden Bus "Extra Recess" celebration.
